Ollie does not promote sponsored or paid products. Any recommendations are intended to be unbiased and user-focused. We may advertise Ollie itself on third-party platforms.
Ollie uses automated systems, including AI, to generate meal plans, recommendations, and other content. These outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. You should verify important information and consult a professional when appropriate.

We only collect information necessary to operate and improve Ollie for Meals.

Global Privacy Control.We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out request for the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under California law and similar state privacy laws. If your browser sends a GPC signal when you visit our site, we treat it as an opt-out without requiring any further action from you.
“Do Not Track.”We do not currently respond to legacy “Do Not Track” browser signals because there is no industry standard for how to interpret them. Use the Global Privacy Control or our cookie banner instead.
5. Information Collected Through the Ollie for Meals App
When you use the Ollie for Meals app or website, we may collect:

- Meal plans, recipes, grocery lists, and preferences
- Uploaded images (e.g., pantry or meal photos)

6. How We Use Ollie for Meals Data
We use information collected through Ollie for Meals to:

Ollie for Meals uses third-party large language model providers (such as Anthropic and OpenAI) to generate meal plans, recommendations, and other content. Information sent to these providers is governed by their enterprise data-protection commitments, which prohibit them from using your content to train their public models. We may also use de-identified or aggregated data to evaluate, debug, and improve Ollie’s own systems.
- We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising
- We do not use the content you share with Ollie for Meals to train third-party AI models for general use
- We do not provide medical, legal, or financial advice
7. Managing Your Ollie for Meals Data
You can:
- Update or delete information in the app
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Contact us to access or correct your personal information
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to:
- Provide the service
- Maintain required records
- Improve and secure Ollie for Meals
You may request deletion at any time. In the app, you can delete your account from your Profile.
Specific retention periods
- Account information (name, email): kept while your account is active; deleted within 30 days of account deletion (excluding backups, which are purged within 90 days).
- App-generated content (meal plans, lists, preferences, uploaded images): kept while your account is active; deleted on account deletion.
- Diagnostic and security logs: retained for up to 12 months.
- Billing and subscription records: retained for the period required by tax, accounting, and consumer-protection laws (typically up to 7 years).
We may retain information longer where necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, or prevent fraud and abuse.
9. Sharing Information
We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate Ollie for Meals, such as:
- Cloud hosting services
- Analytics and security partners
- AI and machine learning providers (under enterprise data-protection commitments)
These providers may only use data on our behalf and under contractual safeguards.
We may also share information if required by law or to protect safety.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.

10a. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you additional rights. We provide the disclosures below to help you exercise them.
- Categories of personal information we collect: identifiers (name, email, device IDs); commercial information (subscription and purchase history); internet/network activity (usage data, interactions with the Services); approximate geolocation data (derived from IP address); and the contents of meal plans, preferences, and photos you provide.
- How we use it: see Sections 6 and 7 of this Policy.
- Sources: directly from you, from your device, and from our service providers (see Section 9).
- Your rights:the right to know what we collect about you; to correct inaccurate information; to delete your information; to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of your information; and to limit our use of sensitive personal information.
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
To exercise your rights, email privacy@ollie.ai. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by law. You may also designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
11. Children’s Privacy
Ollie for Meals is intended for use by adults (18 and older). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If a parent or legal guardian believes that a child has provided us with personal information without their consent, they may contact us to request deletion.
Adults may use Ollie for Meals to manage information about their household, including their children. When you do, you are the user and are responsible for the information you share about your child. We treat that information as your User Content under our Terms of Use.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. No system is 100% secure, but we take security seriously. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by law and without undue delay.
Our safeguards include:
- Encryption of personal information in transit (TLS) and at rest
- Access controls limiting employee access to personal information on a need-to-know basis
- Logging, monitoring, and regular security testing
- A documented incident response process
- Vendor security reviews for our service providers and subprocessors
We are pursuing SOC 2 Type II certification and align our security practices with industry-standard frameworks. We will update this Policy as our certifications evolve.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Ollie for Meals evolves. We’ll update the “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, notify users of material changes.
